The maximum is limited to $1,500,000 and to 10- or 20-year option in some states.

That could be up to 30 years if you are under age 50, 20 years if you are under age 60, up to 10 years, if you are under age 70. Depending on age, you may be offered the option to renew for the same period if you provide evidence of insurability. If you are over the specified age or do not provide evidence of insurability, you will be automatically enrolled in annual renewable term at an annual increasing cost. Insurance ends at age 80.
