Alumni of Washington State University and their spouses/domestic partners under age 65 are eligible to apply. Those under age 55 may apply for a 10-or 20-year term. Those age 55 through 64 may apply for a 10-year term. All policies end at age 75.
AlumniTerm 10/20 is renewable to age 75. You can keep this coverage for the term limit by simply paying the premium when due. At the end of the term, you may reapply for the 10-year term if you are under age 65; for the 20-year term if you are under age 55, based on your new age and health status. Or you may continue your policy regardless of any changes in your health on an Ultimate Rate basis* – without reapplying or submitting to a medical exam.
*Ultimate Rates are five-year step rates, with a 50% decrease in benefits at age 65 and an additional 50% decrease at age 70. The policy ends at age 75.
AlumniTerm 10/20 is not available to residents of Alaska, Oregon and Utah.
